Review: Crashed (Driven #3) by K. Bromberg

Driven cover

TITLE: Crashed

SERIES: Driven #3 AUTHOR: K. Bromberg GENRE: Contemporary Romance RELEASE DATE: March 3rd, 2014

When life crashes down around us, how hard are we willing to fight for the one thing we can’t live without, each other? Life is full of moments. Big moments. Little moments. And none of them are inconsequential. Every single moment prepares you for that one instance that defines your life. You must overcome all your fears, confront the demons that chase you, and cleanse the poison that clings to your soul or you risk the chance of losing everything. Mine started the minute Rylee fell out of that damn storage closet. She made me feel. Made me whole when all I thought I could ever be was incomplete. Became the lifeline I never knew I needed. Hell yes, she’s worth the fight…but how do you fight for someone you know you don’t deserve? Love is full of ups and downs. Heart stopping highs. Soul shattering lows. And none of them are insignificant. Love is a racecourse of unexpected twists and turns that must be negotiated. You have to break down walls, learn to trust, and heal from your past in order to win. But sometimes it’s the expected that’s the hardest to hold on to. Colton has healed and completed me, stolen my heart, and made me realize our love’s not predictable nor perfect—it’s bent. And bent’s okay. But when outside factors put our relationship to the test, what lengths will I have to go to prove to him that he’s worth the fight? Whoever said love is patient and love is kind, never met the two of us. We know our love is worth it—have acknowledged that we were meant to be—but when our pasts crash into our future, will the repercussions make us stronger or break us apart?

This portion of Colton and Rylee’s story might be my favorite.

The feelings disclosed are still prevalent and gripped me intensely.

What I liked more than ever is that they once again have a mountain of obstacles to surmount to have their little piece of heaven, but contrary to the first two books, they stick together to confront them. Colton grew so much since Driven and to finally see the darkness slowly letting place to light in his life and him finally accepting it was a beautiful journey.

"Ry... don't you know I never forget a single moment when I race... on of off the track?"

What is more apparent is also their undeniable connection they can’t deny anymore and the purpose they have in each other’s life. Although it’s still hard for Colton to express himself in words, he shows time and time again that Rylee is the most vital part of his life and she’s his strength. Without words spoken, I often found myself speechless by the emotions showed between this fascinating couple. Their chemistry between the sheet is still so passionate.

I also find myself a deep appreciation for Beckett in this book. He was the best friend Colton needed to make him faces his struggles and realizes what he has with Rylee. I was so glad to see this kind of bromance. They're able to have funny moments, but also deeper and important ones.

"I race you, Ry. I really, really race you."

K. Bromberg definitely imposed herself as one of my new favorite author.

I still can’t realize that I’ve missed reading this series for the last three years and half. Definitely one of my top one now!

This whole series is a 5+ stars of roller coaster emotional pages.

Thanks you K. Bromberg for this epic journey you made me live!
