Pepper Winters superbly outdone herself with this sensational story. Hundreds delivers a variety of powerful emotions to the reader. I feel that the Dollar series reaches its pinnacle in this book with the passion, distress, and all the amalgam of feelings Elder and Pim experience.
After all the adversity they faced since they crossed path, Elder and Pim’s connection is more than ever intoxicating. It’s really stunning to witness them together; the understanding they have of each other, sometimes without a word is even pronounced. They complete each other so effortlessly. The passionate sensuality hit a particularly high level and every word captures these blazing moments flawlessly.
Elder finally exposes some of his deepest secrets and we discover more about his hurtful past. I must say that after these revelations, I’m more than ever in admiration of this broken hero. In all the chapters written in Elder’s POV, we feel his internal battles and desperation so poignantly! Pim also has her own conflicts to face in Hundreds, but she accomplishes to show her never-ending strength and demonstrates why she’s a survivor. They use each other to reinforce their own weaknesses and it’s truly amazing to observe this kind of synergy.
Pepper Winters’s ever present splendid writing style captures perfectly the spirit of this remarkable duo of protagonists. I just can’t help but consider this third installment in the Dollar Series a real masterpiece and definitely my top read of the year! I treasured and felt every single word of Elder and Pim’s journey and can’t get enough of these two. For me, Hundreds was pure perfection. Every single line gave soul to the story and consumed me entirely. I’m just so in love with this series! Now, Thousands can’t release soon enough!
