After falling in love with the Hades Hangmen Series with It Ain’t Me, Babe I was more than eager to start Heart Recaptured! Ky and Lilah’s relationship intrigued me so much! The biggest manwhore of the club and the brainwashed devout woman! They’re an unlikely pair, so opposite in everything, but surprisingly so good together. Tillie Cole brought the viciousness and perversion to a new level with outrageous events and an extremely gripping plot. These tragic moments only increased the emotional facets of this novel!
“I think that love is love, no matter the flaws, or faith of the person you choose to give your heart to. We are all fallen in some way, Lilah, none of us perfect, but to feel someone’s unconditional love, surely that is all that matters in the end.”
I don’t know how many time I cracked up in giggles over Ky’s unapologetic whorish ways! He truly has no shame and is so carefree. The things he says are seriously so crude, but hilarious at the same time. It certainly makes his special bond with Lilah implausible at first view! She’s really disgusted by his actions after the way she’s been brainwashed at The Order. I must say that at first I found her annoying with all her fanatic religious beliefs and indignation at the MC’s lifestyle! She gradually grew on me and I understood better her judgement!
When Ky’s designated to show Lilah the outside world, they slowly forge a bond that goes deep. Ky is so much more than only a player. He’s caring and so fiercely protective of the young woman. She surely elicits new feelings in him that he tries to understand. Lilah is also tempted by Ky, but still has so much to overcome to truly let herself open up completely to this vulgar man. Their relationship is something beautiful to watch evolve! Though all the the darkness and pain, love shines so bright between them!
The Hades Hangmen are still threatened by the leaders of The Order. They’re attacked and unspeakable things are depicted in this story that made me cry and ache for the sweet Lilah! The action is intensely vicious and addictive! I couldn’t stop listening to my audiobook. Once again, the narration of this story was perfectly executed. I felt all the feelings deep in my bones from the performance of both narrators.

Heart Recaptured is a great addition to the series and had me so obsessed with the fate of its characters. Ky and Lilah are such a mesmerizing pair that made my heart bleed and ultimately heal! To say I’m excited for Flame and Maddie’s story is an understatement. The guy had me so titillated since book one and I’m dying to know him more!!!
