⭐️ 4.5 "Rise of a Defiant Queen" Stars ⭐️
This last installment of the Mount Trilogy was really good. Another fast paced story where a lot happened. Sinful Empire is surely the segment where Lachlan and Keira accept the feelings they have for each other and embrace them.
"You've never been a pawn. You've been the queen from day one."
Lachlan definitely shows a softer side of him. We don’t just see him as the dark, ruthless, cruel ruler of an empire, but also as a man trying to protect his loved ones. Under all this hardness, there’s just something more.
Keira also imposes herself as a true queen. She understands Lachlan better and believes in his actions. There’s no black and white, but a whole lot of grey. She shows that she won’t be a pawn in his life and takes command beautifully and fiercely. I enjoyed seeing her go head to head with him.
You still get the action with suspense and the underlying tone of sexuality and kinkiness with this couple.
"I'm the queen of a sinful empire, and I plan to spend the rest of my life beside its king."
Meghan March concluded in a strong way this amazing trilogy. Now I’m so prepared for the next trilogy in this New Orleans world.
