Katy Evans knows how to grab your attention completely with intense characters with a whole lot of chemistry. Rogue isn’t different with Melanie and Greyson’s connection so potent across the pages, but there’s also an edge of suspense to the story that kept me riveted to my book! From Real and Mine that I’ve read a few years back, I remember Melanie as Brooke’s vibrant and confidant best friend. In Rogue I discovered an new side of her I wasn’t expecting; the dreamy and insecure one. From a girl always ready to party, I wouldn’t have suspected that she’s ardently waiting for her prince charming to stole her heart. While Grayson King isn’t really prince charming, the moment they meet they just bond on all levels and Melanie can’t help but feels like he’s “the one”. I must admit that I did fall for his magnetic presence too! He’s really my kind of hero! Greyson is such the epitome of tall, dark and sexy all wrapped up in an aura of power, danger and mystery. He has a reason for pursuing Melanie; he’s a collector from the Underground and she has a debt. While it starts as work for him, his princess soon becomes an obsession he can’t deny and always go back for more. With her, he discovers unfamiliar feelings such as possessiveness, protectiveness and jealousy. His dirty mouth and commanding presence will have you salivating for sure. Intensely hot scenes are inevitable between these two with all this fiery lust swirling around them. This author writes them like a pro with a high dose of sexiness that makes you blush, but also feelings that gets your heart racing. Passion, desire, jealousy, secrets are at the core of this incredible story that mesmerized me. Rogue is a wonderful read that can easily be read as a standalone, but for those who have already started the Real series, you’ll be happy to see glimpses of Brooke, Remy, Pandora and all the group.
