“With the first pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select…”

It’s been three years since quarterback Ares Kincaid’s NFL dream came true, and he’s living the high life. The days of cleaning up after his drunk of a father are long gone, and he has no intention of going back.

A car crash and DUI charge meant a lengthy stint in rehab for Arianna Petrelli, and her dream of being a professional artist slips further away when she’s sacked from her position at a gallery. Her need for a job stronger even than her dislike of football, Ari goes to work for her father, the head coach of the New York Giants.

Ares hates alcoholics, which is fine with Ari because she thinks he’s a brainless jock. Yet when Ares rescues Ari from a situation with her ex-boyfriend, an unlikely friendship begins – one that quickly becomes more.

But messing around with the coach’s daughter can only lead to one thing…trouble.

⭐️ 4.5 "Full Disclosure" Stars ⭐️

After how much I loved Ruin, the first novel in the Gods Series, I was really eager to meet another Kincaid brother! Ares’ story sounded so good from the blurb only with the enemies-to-lovers trope which is a favorite of mine. Rush certainly didn’t disappoint! This read provided funny moments as well as touching ones and other steamy hot! This is really the whole package of everything I love in my books.

It’s lust at first sight between Ares Kincaid, the star quarterback of the NY Giants and Arianna Petrelli, the coach’s daughter. But when Ares realizes her true identity a few minutes after their meeting, there’s pure hostility from his part. As much as I learned to love this intimidating hero through the chapters, I felt he was too judgmental and a jerk at first. I understand Ari’s struggle with alcohol reminds Ares of his drunk father’s letdowns across the years, but he just gets so mean with her without giving her a chance to prove herself. He gradually redeems himself, but he still struggles with trust!

This couple slowly learn about each other and develops a lovely friendship that can’t be kept platonic very long. The intense attraction they share is just undeniable and waiting to unleash. Ari is an inspiring heroine truly determined to fight her dependence. In spite of all the judgement coming her way, she wants to get better and she sincerely understands her problem.

Samantha Towle certainly shaped a fascinating story with characters with lots of chemistry and an exciting storyline. Rush made me laugh, smile and cry! I would have liked to see more of Zeus and Cam, but the little glimpses at them was sweet! I can't wait for the next novel.
