Southern Chance
Book #2
Southern Comfort
Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.
Olivia
When you find out that your fiancé is arrested for swindling over ten million dollars from his clients, you do what any sane woman would do. You escape reality and go undercover, trading in your city-girl Louboutins for country-pumpkin cowboy boots.
It wasn’t a forever change—it was temporary. I only had to stay here until things back home got straightened out, or so I thought.
Casey
I was riding horses before I was walking, or at least that was what they told me. I always knew I would take over the family farm. It’s in my blood.
Country boy at heart, the minute I saw her dragging her luggage up the gravel driveway I knew she was out of my league.
I shouldn’t have started anything with her, because I knew she was just passing through.
I couldn’t stop it, I fell in love with her. Even though I knew, in the end, she would leave me.
⭐️ 4 "Cowboy & Darling" Stars ⭐️
It took me a little while to dive back into the Southern Series. After Southern Chance being a little disapointing to me, Southern Comfort had me really excited but also hesitant. I was really intrigued about Olivia and Casey's story. In my opinion, they stole the show in the previous book and their flirty sparing had me so giddy. This novel had a great intrigue with all the suspense and threats planning over Olivia related to her past relationship. I loved seeing Casey so fiercely protective of her. He's the man of the situation to help her be safe with his security firm. Their relationship was full of teasing, but also sweet and touching. Olivia is afraid to open her heart again, but the cowboy with a possessive and cocky attitude at times is just so irresistible! Southern Comfort was definitely a captivating read!
Book #3
Southern Storm
Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.
Savannah
I’m the one who broke up the golden couple. The woman people still whisper about, point at, and give dirty looks to.
Did I sleep with the prom king? No. Did I sleep with the town's golden boy on vacation from college? Yes.
Did I believe that he was going to marry me? Wholeheartedly.
Did he? Not even close. He got engaged right in front of me and then his father threw two hundred dollars at me and told me to take the trash out.
So, I raised my son in a town where people love him because they think that his father is the sheriff.
It was going great, everything was working out till my lie got out.
Beau
I was getting ready to take over the mayoral office from my father, who was my hero.
Until I heard the secret he hoped would stay buried forever.
My brother has a son, not just any son but a son with the woman who was my best friend.
The woman I secretly have loved from the moment she stood up to me and broke my nose in kindergarten.
I need to protect her and in order to do that, we need to get married.
Too bad her nightmare is my dream come true.
⭐️ 5 "Always You" Stars ⭐️
The Southern Series keeps getting better! I didn't really know what to expect from Southern Storm, because as much as I loved Beau form the precedents books, I wasn't sure about Savannah. She was at the core of Kallie and Jacob's separation from Southern Chance, and she kind of played the villain.
I was extremely surprised by this book that stole my heart completely. Not only did I enjoy the story, but so far it's my favorite in the series. Beau's unrequited feelings for Savannah were truly heartbreaking. For years, he played the best friend while he was so far gone for the girl, being afraid to lose her if he admitted what his heart truly wnated. What he never knew was that she also had a soft spot for him. After her big secret is revealed, there's so much tension and hurt between the long time friends, but Beau is still always ready to play the hero for the woman of his dreams.
“𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒌𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓.”
Seriously, I loved this couple so much. Savannah had a rough childhood and teenage years, but she always had the support of Beau and Jacob. She would do anything to protect her son, Ethan. She truly lives for him and she's so driven in giving him the best of life. Beau is a loyal man with so much love for Savannah. He was so dreamy with his protectiveness. The romance was so exquisite between these two and had me teary-eyed at times. Their relationship packed feels, steam and trust.
Overall, Southern Storm was the perfect friends to lovers romance with heart, devotion, seduction, humor and all the in-betweens! The whole cast made this read even more addictive!
Book #4
Southern Sunrise
Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.
Emily
I fell in love with him when I was fourteen. Under the stars, he told me he loved me, and under the stars we promised to love each other always. But under the stars, he broke my heart by walking away.
He left me without a second glance. I was just an afterthought.
Now he's back, but this time, I'm not falling for his Southern charm.
Maybe.
It’s time I get my happily ever after, even if part of me wishes he was still mine.
Ethan
I found out on my twenty-first birthday that everything I thought I knew was a lie, and the man I had grown up thinking was my father wasn't.
The pain I felt blinded me, making it impossible to hear what anyone said.
I left them all behind, including her, my best friend and the woman I was going to marry.
Five years later, I'm back, only to find the woman I still love has another man's ring on her finger.
She’s going to marry my best friend unless I stop her. And this time, I only have until sunrise to change her mind.
⭐️ 3.5 "You Are My Reason" Stars ⭐️
Southern Sunrise was a good addiction to the lovely Southern Series. I really enjoyed Ethan and Emily as a couple and the overall story was pleasant, but I need to admit that I had difficulty understanding Ethan’s actions. It kept me from completely enjoying this read. I felt his reaction to discovering about his real father a little excessive and his return into town too easy for all the hurt he caused over the years. Despite these personal thoughts, I still enjoyed seeing him with his “sunshine”. This couple was clearly made for each other. It was so nice to see all the characters from the previous books interact together and witness their beautiful bond. This romance was touching, sweet and emotional with a little dose of spice!
Book #5
Southern Heart
Some secrets have a way of coming back and haunting us, no matter how much we try to bury them.
Chelsea
Coming back home was supposed to be normal.
Not that my life had ever been normal, but it was getting there.
Then I opened the door and found a man—broken, bloodied, and fighting for his life.
I don’t know why, but I said I would take care of him. I had to. Needed to.
He was a mystery, showing up from out of nowhere. But he might have already stolen my heart.
Mayson Carey
The only thing I have ever wanted in my entire life was to forget who I was. Joining the military helped me do this.
Keep your head down and glide through life was my new motto. No strings, no relationships. Nothing.
Everything was working until a knock at the door had me face-to-face with the reason I was running.
So I ran—I fell into her arms, and she fell into my heart, but I know better than to think it’ll last.
Some secrets have a way of coming back and haunting us, no matter how much we try to bury them.
⭐️ 4 "Let Me Love You" Stars ⭐️
I was really eager to read more of the second generation of the Southern Series. Southern Heart was certainly a lovely story that I enjoyed a lot even if it was a little too insta love to my taste. I believed in Chelsea and Mayson's connection, but I just felt it was a bit too fast how their relationship turned so emotionally profound. Yes, they have shared an intense attraction for each other for a few years, but they never really interacted for more than a few exchanged words.
When Mayson is badly hurt and Chelsea is caring for him, a big part of their special bond is forged. The man is truly sweet and thoughtful. He knows that he could put her in danger with his past looming over him. He tries everything to resist Chelsea, but it's futile. They cna't help their intense pull and start a romantic relationship. They share some scorching hot encounters full of emotion.
I enjoyed this read a lot between the right dose of sweet and suspenseful. That's mostly what kept me this invested in this story: the intrigue surrounding Mayson's past. Natasha Madison certainly added another winner to an already amazing series!
Book #6
Southern Heat
Willow
After being left for dead, I was given a fresh start by my knight in shining armor.
My protector.
I never had a family before they took me in.
But I don’t know how to stay or trust.
I always had a bag packed and ready just in case I needed to escape again.
Like they say, old habits die hard.
Being in the shadows is lonely, but lonely is safe.
Quinn
I was the quiet one, the one who stood in the back and watched things unfold. The cowboy who only cared about his horses instead of the glory.
Until I found her fighting for her life. Something inside me shifted, and I couldn’t stop it.
I couldn’t stop protecting her.
I fell in love with her with one look because she was my soul mate.
Even though I knew I couldn't make her stay.
⭐️ 4 "Survivor" Stars ⭐️
Southern Heat was another amazing introduction to the Southern Series. Quinn is truly swoon worthy! A cowboy with a heart of gold, devoted to Willow from the start. It was truly sweet to witness his level of dedication to a total stranger. I'll admit, I felt the romance was a little too sudden for me, no true building of their relationship. Despite this little critic, I enjoyed their bond and the way Willow was introduced into the family with open arms. The suspense was thrilling and kept me invested all read long. Quinn was definitely his father's son with all the swoon factor, but also hero complex.
“𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏’𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝒎𝒆, 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒔. 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆. 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒚𝒐𝒖. 𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒂𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒔 𝒊𝒕 𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒔.”
Southern Heat was a real treat and has me so excited for the next couple books! I love the whole cast of this series so much and can't get enough!
Book #7
Southern Secrets
Amelia
Never make the same mistake twice is my motto.
After being left in the dust of an old pickup truck, I promised that I would take care of myself
and never trust another man with a sexy smirk and cowboy boots.
Then he showed up, and he’s everywhere I turn. He's at the barn, he's at the bar, and now, he's my roommate.
He makes me want things I shouldn’t
Asher
I grew up in foster care, and on my eighteenth birthday, I was set free.
I spent years coasting from town to town.
Staying wasn’t a part of my plan and neither was love, especially with someone off limits.
This was all supposed to be temporary.
I’m just hoping my secret doesn’t destroy the only family I’ve ever known.
Buried secrets are never buried for long.
⭐️ 5 "Under Your Skin" Stars ⭐️
This seventh book in the Southern Series is without a doubt my favorite! I loved everything about this small town romance that gave me butterflies in the stomach. The romance, the suspense, everything was so well balanced.
I adored Amelia and her sassy personality. Her relationship full of banter with Asher was just so entertaining to witness with their sizzling underlying attraction. I enjoyed every single moment between these two and all the interactions with their family. Asher is a great guy. He didn't have an easy childhood, being raised in foster care. He is reticent to open his heart to Amelia, despite his strong chemistry with the girl. When he becomes her somewhat roommate, the lines starts to blur and Amelia shows him the power of love and family. Seriously, those two had me swooning so hard over their perfection as a couple with scenes full of feels and passion.
The intrigue was interesting and kept me hooked all read long. I didn't know what to expect and was surprised a few times. Southern Secrets was a fantastic novel!
Book #8
Southern Sunshine
Reed
I never wanted to be a cowboy, living in a small town was suffocating.
The military was my out.
I saw every place I ever wanted and everything that nightmares are made of.
Until I almost lost my life and then I ended up back home.
Hazel
Finding out that I was pregnant the night before I left for college changed everything.
I left that small town and vowed to never return.
When my grandfather died, I had no choice but to go back home.
The plan was just for two weeks.
I thought it would be quick and easy, until he was standing at the back door asking questions.
Secrets never stay secrets for long in this town.
⭐️ 5 "I Found My Purpose" Stars ⭐️
Awww! Natasha Madison definitely kept the best books for last in the Southern Series. After Southern Secrets being a total winner with me, Southern Sunshine was another mesmerizing story! There's something I really enjoy about secret baby romances, and this one was particularly appealing.
Reed and Hazel had a great connection and shared some beautiful moments. Little Sofia was just so adorable and such a country girl. Every moment she was featured in, she litterally stole the show and my heart. The romance was lovely and touching. I adored Grandpa Billy so much and all the family. They're such a great bunch of people!
The emotional moments were aplenty. My heart was cracking for Reed who felt so misunderstood to the point of escaping his little town to simply breathe freely. I was teary-eyed over his level of distress. His mending relationship with his family in the present was so poignant. I simply loved everything about this book that got to me profoundly!
