I’m one of four Willow daughters.
He’s the first-born son of the Scafoni family. And we have history.
For generations, the Scafoni family have demanded a sacrifice of us. A virgin daughter to atone for sins so old, we don’t even remember what they are anymore.
But when you have as much money as they do, you don’t play by the rules. You make them.
And Sebastian Scafoni makes all the rules.
The moment I saw him, I knew he would choose me. Even though the mark on my sheath declared me unclean. Even though my beautiful sisters stood beside me, offered to him, he still chose me.
He made me his.
And then he set out to break me.

Taken was a decadent and dark read that I enjoyed a lot. The premise of this story was interesting with the debt between the Willows and Scafonis. Sebastian is set on getting his Willow Girl to bend to his will, but he develops a certain fondness for Helena. The pact states that he’s to get the girl for a year and let her go at the hands of his brothers after, but it's soon apparant that he wants to keep her to himself. Helena is strong and resolved to survive her time with the Scafonis. She sees that Sebastian is more than what she expected, shows little displays of caring.
As much as I enjoyed the story, I felt there was a little to much sexual scenes. At times it was the only real action happening, between the sheets, and the story line didn’t evolve otherwise. As hot as these scenes were, it felt redundant, although I would admit they help deepen the bond between Sebastian and Helena. The start of the Dark Legacy Trilogy was hot and intriguing and I’m highly titillated by what’s next for this doomed couple!
TITLE: Torn
SERIES: Dark Legacy #2
AUTHOR: Natasha Knight
GENRE: Dark Romance
RELEASE DATE: November 14th, 2018
Taking her is my right.
Breaking her, my duty.
I was always going to choose Helena. I knew it the instant I saw her.
She’s different than the others. There’s a darkness about her. Something wild inside her. And it calls to the beast inside me.
But she isn’t what I expect. With every word and every touch, she pushes me, burrows deep under my skin, challenging the rules, upending history.
And all the while, I see how my brother watches her. He wants her, and as the rules stand, she’ll become his in one year’s time.
Except that I have no intention of giving her up.

In this second novel in the Dark Legacy Trilogy, Sebastian and Helena continues to develop a connection that could change everything. Once again, the scorching hot scenes are aplenty and more than ever perverted. Sebastian wants to ignore these growing feelings for Helena that go against the legacy, hence him sharing his Willow Girl. Between the brothers there's a rivalry for Helena's favors, but Sebastian is always the leader creating so much tension between Gregory and him. I felt bad for Helena to by toyed with when she's growing feelings fro Sebastian, but let's juts say that she also had a certain affection for the younger brother. It's different, but she sees what he tries to hide. Torn had a little suspense put in the mix to make the story riveting.

My brother was right. I always wanted my own Willow Girl.
What happened on that island didn’t break me.
It twisted me.
Corrupted me.
Made me into a monster.
Although, I guess it’s true what she says. You can’t become something that wasn’t inside you all along.
This was always going to happen.
I was always going to take Amelia Willow.
History and destiny sealed her fate. Sealed both of ours.
For months, I’ve been waiting.
Watching.
Preparing.
And tonight, everything will change.
Because tonight, I’ll collect my own Willow Girl.

I didn't really know what to expect from Twisted. After reading the first two books in the Dark Legacy Trilogy, Gregory was still an enigma to me. The events that took place in Taken and Torn between Helena, Sebastian and him left him crushed. I was glad to discover more about this misunderstood man. I felt his desire to be loved from these previous novels and Amelia Willow was exactly what he needed to heal. Yes, he takes her at first as a sort of revenge, but soon develops an attachment to her. They're both a little damaged and recognize this sadness in each other. Amelia's dark desires are titillated by Gregory and she does everything to fight them. As much as their encounters are hot and sinful, I personally felt a little lack of sparks between this couple. It didn't diminish my appreciation of the growth of their love thoughout the story though. Overall, I'm satisfied with this book that made me see Gregory under a more loveable facet.
