TITLE: Triple Threat

SERIES: Deception Duet #1 AUTHOR: K. Webster GENRE: Dark Romance

TROPES: Reverse Harem

RELEASE DATE: January 11th, 2022

I’m a prisoner in a prestigious world.

A perfect princess locked in a tower.

My father will never let me go.

Not that I could leave. I would never abandon my little sister. Hope comes in the form of a devilishly handsome man with dark eyes and darker secrets.

With each encounter, I’m lured deeper into the labyrinth. The danger lurking beneath his surface calls to me, even as it warns me away.

Except there’s a new side of him every time we meet. A different danger each time we touch. It’s as if three different men want to devour me.

He’s not just one villain. He’s three.

I loved K. Webster's Cinderella Trilogy and hated the Terror Triplets so much in these books! When I learned the author was writing their own story, I was ecstatic because as much as I despised these boys, I'm a sucker for anti-heroes! Even villains need a little love, right? I certainly have a weakness for these misunderstood protagonists and was so curious about the Terror Triplets. Triple Threat painted them in a new light and this read was utterly addictive!

After the events that happened in the Cinderella Trilogy, the spoiled brothers fell from grace and are now working for their uncle Bryant Morelli. Their latest mission: infiltrate the life of Landry Croft, the daugther of billionaire and Constantine's ally Alexander Croft.

Between Sully, Sparrow and Scout, I was highly entertained. These triplets couldn't be more different one from another. Sully is the broody and serious one. He dreams of getting away from under his uncle's power. Sparrow is a little carefree and cocky, but also has a good head on his shoulders. Lastly, there's Scout who's reckless and a psycho. He's mostly the reason the trio is in this situation and I felt he was so intriguing. He's unhinged and so twisted, but that's what makes him even more interesting.

Landry is litterally at the center of a little war between the brothers. They all become obsessed with the girl. She's a prisoner under her father's control. She's brave and would sacrifice her own well-being to protect her little sister Della. When she meets Ford, the brother's undercover identity, she soon finds a little light in her life. I appreciated her relationship with the guys. Each on their own brought something different to Landry even if it was deceiving.

The intrigue of this book had me so invested all read long. The steamy moments were really hot, but there was also emotional instants that touched me deeply. I was surprised by the sudden ending as I thought it was a standalone novel. Let's just say that I'm impatiently waiting for the conclusion of the duet with Death Wish!
