The Reluctant Bride was a great start to a promising trilogy. This arranged marriage romance was alluring and sexy. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Charlotte and Perry. Their chemistry was intense from their first meeting even if they were both hesitant to this union between them, pushed by their family's expectations. It was nice to get more of Perry Constantine and discover new facets of his personality. He's not only a carefree guy and wants to be taken seriously. Charlotte is a little naive and reserved, but she can speak up when something is bothering her. The antagonizing between Perry and her had me so entertained. I couldn't wait for them to just succumb to the passion they oozed. The intrigue with the two powerful families merging together with this alliance guarantees surprises for the next novels in the series. I can't wait for book two!
