TMATF cover

TITLE: Lilac

AUTHOR: B.B. Reid

GENRE: Reverse Harem / Rockstar Romance

RELEASE DATE: December 7th, 2020

I, Braxton Fawn, am the luckiest girl alive. Or so the world keeps telling me. Every so often, gods walk the earth. This time they came as musicians. When Bound loses its lead guitarist, yours truly is chosen to fill his shoes. From dive bars to the big stage, my instant claim to fame is nothing short of a fairytale. The only problem? My new bandmates. Jaded, gorgeous, and ridiculously talented—they’re determined to turn my dream into a nightmare. It’s no secret I wasn’t their first choice. I wasn’t even their last. The label wants a new image, Bound wants me gone, but I’ve got my own agenda. To succeed I have to survive a world tour, public scrutiny, and idols turned enemies. But the biggest threat of all isn’t a meticulous frontman, a narcissistic bassist, and a drummer with too many secrets. It’s me. Somehow, I must resist the temptation of Houston Morrow, Loren James, and Jericho Noble. It seemed easy enough when I boarded their tour bus, but it only took one city for the lines we’d drawn to blur. Only ninety-nine more to go. ** Lilac is a rockstar, reverse-harem romance and complete standalone.**

⭐️ 4 Stars ⭐️

I was really intrigued by Lilac since the novel was first announced, but I’ll admit the reverse harem trope had me anxious. I’ve only previously read a couple books with this trope and it’s not my favorite to be honest. B.B. Reid is one of these authors I’ll read anything she writes, so I still had faith that she would deliver an amazing story! Lilac was a great book!

Braxton and her guys had me entertained all read long. This young woman is just so amazing. When she becomes the new guitarist for Bound, a highly popular rock band, she doesn’t shy away from the members and proves that she has her place with them. She’s outspoken, sassy and I was in awe of her badass attitude. Her chemistry with Houston, Loren and Jericho is palpable and intense from their meeting. Each one of the guy is so different, but brings something special to her.

Houston, as the front man of the band, is the leader with a broody but so commanding personality. He’s hostile to Braxton and the feelings she evokes in him. Then there’s Loren, the bassist, he’s careless and always ready for a good time. He wants Braxton from the start and makes it clear to his bandmates. Jericho, the drummer, is the calm one of the trio. The man is understanding and truly sweet. In spite of all their differences, they all want Braxton as theirs creating conflicts inside the band. They all need to realize their true feelings and desires before diving into their sinful relationship though.

As it’s expected from a reverse harem romance, the level of hotness of this story is so high! Some scenes are so filthy! It doesn’t mean that there isn’t also deeply emotional moments too. This book is really well balanced on all facets. Lilac was ultimately a fantastic experience that I highly recommend!
