Dean Walker is all about keeping life simple. He’s effortlessly talented and intelligent—spending his summers playing drums in the local band and the rest of the year teaching high school in the same Jersey town where he grew up. He likes his love-life simple too, enjoying the commitment-free hook-ups his good looks and sexy charm have always made oh-so easy.
Then he meets Lainey Burrows. And his simple, easy life gets turned upside down.
One wild one-night stand was all it was ever supposed to be, so Lainey is shocked when she discovers that her sizzling summer fling is also her son’s new math teacher. But that’s nothing compared to the most unexpected twist of all—their hot hook-up left Lainey knocked-up, and now they’re about to become parents. Together.
What ensues is an addictive, insatiable, sweet and tender romance that won’t be simple, but it will be more than worth the fight.
A stand-alone, contemporary romance.

Getting Played was a very good story! I love surprise pregnancy romances and this one had an interesting twist that made it even more captivating. Dean and Laney’s chemistry was explosive and I enjoyed their flirting. When they meet a few months after their one night stand, their special bond is still present but many things have changed: Laney is pregnant and Dean is her son’s teacher. They explore this singular connection they shared and slowly build a beautiful relationship together.
The narration of this audiobook was great as it’s the norm with both narrators, Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber. They gave the perfect emotion to the characters and it was a real treat to listen to this story. This second novel in the Getting Some Series was another winner!

⭐️ 4.5 Stars ⭐️
It's not a secret that I have a thing for single dad and age gap romances. Needless to say I was delighted to get my hands on Getting Real as soon as the audiobook released.
Connor's story was so good! The way he navigates life as a single dad and doctor was amazing to witness. I think this novel is my favorite in the Getting Some Series. I enjoyed Violet and Connor's romance really much, but more than anything I cherished the way his boys connected with his new woman so effortlessly. This novel was heart-warming and I liked how it featured an older divorced man trying to get back into dating.
The narration was so good and made this story even more interesting. Seriously, I didn't want it to end!
