I was so eager to dive into Fake It ’Til You Break It since reading the blurb of this story. This high school romance certainly gave me a very enjoyable time with all the humor, sizzling chemistry and emotional scenes! Meagan Brandy created a new cast of interesting characters that made my heart melt completely! Nico is a broody hero and not the easiest to read. He acts hot and cold toward the Demi, but one thing is clear: his undeniable attraction for her. I enjoyed learning more and more about the guy during my read. He’s not the arrogant star football player everyone knows at school. He hides demons that make his reactions toward Demi unpredictable. And this heroine… She looks like little miss perfect on the outside, but she’s just so lonely. She carries so much unspoken feelings inside her, but Nico reads her effortlessly and this makes their connection more genuine. Demi and Nico’s relationship was so amazing to watch develop. When they’re paired together in their Chemistry class, the animosity is real between them, but that slowly and beautifully transforms when they start a fake relationship. It’s clear from the start of their games, that they just fit perfectly together. They banter and share some truly gorgeous moments! FITYBI was a very nice story, but I felt the story was progressing too slowly at times and I lost connection to the storyline. Nonetheless, this novel was a good entertainment that made me go though a whirlwind of feels! I definitely recommend this novel for any new adult romance adept.
