⭐️ 4 "Taming the Sea" Stars ⭐️
The Trouble with Gravity was an amazing read! I was really excited about this third novel in the Gravity Series when I first read the blurb. As a fan of enemies-to-lovers romances, this story promised a great entertainment! K.K. Allen certainly didn’t disappoint with this touching, alluring and sweet novel!
Between dance and music, I was captivated by Kai and Sebastian’s stormy romance! Those two have so much chemistry! After an unpleasant first encounter, hostility is part of their hot and cold new relationship! Sebastian is definitely arrogant and shameless. He likes to annoy Kai with provocative banter making her crazy. It’s easy to feel the attraction under it all though. The desire they try to resist only grow more powerful. Under Sebastian’s playful attitude lies scars. The man has been hurt and now he’s a true jerk to most people. Seeing him peeling his ill-tempered persona was a beautiful process.
I guess the turning point in Sebastian and Kai’s relationship is when the couple connects about their demons. Kai also has a tragic past haunting her and fear is controlling her future with her dancing contract. Under all this adversity though, she’s a fighter! She tries not to make this traumatizing event of her past control her life and trust Bash in helping her heal. I enjoyed seeing both support each other about their fears. It’s not all easy, with back and forth, but it only creates more sparks between them. Their relationship is certainly wild like the sea in a storm! I enjoyed their heated moments as much as the tender and supportive parts! Seriously, this couple is magnetic!
As it was the case with the previous novels, the interactive links to dance videos only improved this read! I felt I was really watching Kai’s performances and it help me get into the vibe of the story. The Trouble with Gravity was a lovely, poignant read that I really absolutely recommend!
