From the couple books I’d previously read from Saffron A. Kent I thought I knew what to expect from Bad Boy Blues, but I was immensely surprize by this phenomenal read! I know this author can bring to angst and the heat to an inferno, but this story is so much more than just great chemistry! It’s bursting with so much feels and had me in tears more than once. The stunning prose only enhances the emotions delivered in this book!

The story depicts with so much poignancy the torment affecting its characters. The central theme of this novel focus on an actual social issue encountered by lots of people: bullying. We not only see how it affects the bullied, but also how the bully is driven to act this way! We really get both sides and it makes it even more interesting!
Zach is a fantastic multi-faceted hero. I love those protagonists that need to be known a chapter at a time to gradually peel their layers and understand better. At first, he’s truly cruel and cold toward Cleo. While he made her suffer awful things in high school, there was always a strong physical attraction between them. Zach is one of the filthiest dirty talker there his. Seriously, his lines are to die for and will have you gasping and blushing! As much as he shows a hard front with indifference, there’s some fissures in his armor where he shows his pain and his considerate side too. He cares for Cleo but wasn’t taught how to love properly and it’s absolutely moving to watch him fight these growing feelings!

Cleo is one hell of an heroine too! I loved her personality so much. She takes Zach treatments with bravery and a little attitude too! She doesn’t bow to him and even goes with provocation to get what she really wants. As much as the man made her life a living hell for years, there was always part of her that felt compelled by him. Throughout the story, she realizes that he isn’t so bad after all and he’s the biggest victim of them both!
Their magnetic pull only creates explosive scenes! Their intimate moments are simply off the charts hot with a master dirty talker and a little blue haired temptress. They’re perfectly matched and their passion is torrid to say the least. Underneath it all though, it’s clear their feelings run so much deeper than purely physical! Their relationship is a beauty to watch blossom through deep-rooted emotions!

I only have high praise for this unforgettable love story charged with all the feels! Bad Boy Blues is an experience for the senses! The lyrical writing style had me enthralled and made my read a pure delight! You need this story in your life!
