Meghan March certainly knows how to utterly hook you and make you fall in love with every new series she writes. Deal with the Devil is a brilliant story that kept me thrilled from the first line until the last one. Jericho Forge and India Baptiste are really engaging and passionate characters with an unmatched charisma. Their attraction is so intense and the suspense they put me through was compelling!
I totally enjoyed this new world the author transported me in. The luxury, the casinos, the manipulation and the revenge were highly addictive and only a few of the themes featured in this book. Everything about the foundation of this novel was interesting and the more I read, the more I was enthralled by it.
Jericho Forge is one spectacular hero. I dare you not to fall in love with this man. There’s just something in his personality that makes him absolutely irresistible. He’s unapologetic and goes for what he wants without remorse. He’s merciless and determined to make Bastien de Vere pay for a crime he committed years earlier. His revenge path leads him to sexy professional poker player, India Baptiste. She brings a possessive and protective side of him that made him a thousand times more alluring!!!
India is a rebellious heroine with a boldness that’s bordering on recklessness. She’s desperate to win ten million dollars so save her sister, leading her to an extreme poker game with the sexy “pirate”. They don’t see eye to eye and India loves to defy Forge, but their underlying attraction is so palpable. The anticipation for them to get physical was killing me and every time they were together I couldn’t help but feel their powerful magnetism. The bickering, sexual innuendos and Forge’s dirty mouth had me salivating. Those two are completely captivating as individuals, but as a couple they’re dangerously hot!
The plotline was so stimulating. The old rivalry between Forge and de Vere had me titillated and wanting more answers. The predicament India’s sister was in also brought a lot of questioning. Overall, Deal with the Devil is the start of a great new series that will surely steal my heart. I can say without a doubt that this newest couple is my new favorite from Meghan March. They’re just everything! The cliffhanger made its job of putting me on the edge and now I’m more than ever ready for the next installment in the Forge Trilogy.
