⭐️ 4 "Long Awaited Answers" Stars ⭐️
After the way the last novel ended, I was so eager to finally read the last installment in the Web of Sin Trilogy. Promises is exciting and brings a lot of new elements to finally unveil Araneae’s past!
Araneae and Sterling still have the same palpable chemistry. I love them together more than ever. I clearly felt they’re a solid couple now and understand each other better. Araneae is more attune to Sterling’s desire to protect her and while she still provokes him, she also recognizes when to let go and follow his demands. The ever protective hero is always ready to shield his lover from the dangers surrounding them.
The suspense is intense and every little information leading to the big revelation about Araneae’s past is amazing. The flashbacks in Josey’s pov convey an interesting facet to the story. As much as I enjoyed the novel, I would have preferred some parts to be shorter to keep me more invested. I felt my attention shifting from time to time when the intrigue was on a standstill.
Aleatha Romig concluded delightfully an amazing series. The explanations provided were satisfying and settled the whole suspense. I can’t wait to get more of this world in the upcoming trilogy, Tangled Web!
