⭐️ 5 "Sterling Sparrow!!!" Stars ⭐️
Secrets is such an amazing start to the Web of Sin Trilogy! It was my first darker romance from Aleatha Romig and I loved it! I was immediately engrossed in my read from the first few lines, completely hooked by the mysterious atmosphere and fascinating characters.
My favorite aspect of this book is Sterling Sparrow. That man… wow! He’s striking with such a commanding and dangerous presence. My heart melted with the way he can be so controlling and callous, but also caring and protective. This tender side of him is rarely showed though, and only reserved for Araneae. His pull to her is instant and so powerful! Their chemistry is palpable through their flirty and sexually charged banters. Sterling is a dominant man, feared by most people, but this woman is not afraid to confront him when his actions are too infuriating! It definitely creates some intense scenes bursting with attraction and passion! I certainly couldn’t get enough of these two!
Araneae is also a very captivating heroine! She’s driven and independent, but Sterling brings a defiant attitude in her.
The danger she’s been kept from for years has now caught her, but not everything is at it seems. She’s been told to fear Sterling Sparrow, but I couldn’t help but feel like there is so much more to this statement. The story definitely has a strong suspenseful vibe with lot of action happening and multiple surprizing revelations. The pace was fantastic and there wasn’t a dull moment.
Aleatha Romig started this new trilogy with a bang! I loved everything about Secrets and I’m more than ready to get my hands on Lies now! There’s still so much I need to learn about Araneae’s and Sterling’s past and connection to each other.
