This story is darker than the first novel, but at the same time more emotional too. The story navigates between thrilling suspense, tormenting lost and sinfully hot surrender!

I loved Q even more in this book that was also written in his point of view. I was so interested by his internal debates. He’s always fighting his dark desires, but you clearly see the transformation Tess brings to his life! He’s always so strong on the surface, but inside he’s just struggling to accept his true self and his love for Tess. I adored the progress he made through the book and the lengths he goes to prove his undying love for her. This obscure hero is the perfect example of true devotion with his fierce desire for retaliation and the way he’s crumbling without his woman!

Reminiscing on Q is great, but on another side there’s Tess and her strength being tested to a breaking point. I’ve been in awe of her determination since the start of the series, but she’s ultimately taken to a dark place where she’s struggling to escape from! This brings a weaker and more poignant side of her. In these moments of despair and agony, Q must be strong for the both of them!

The sexy scenes are once again full on BDSM and dark passion! This amazing couple truly becomes beasts and go to more extremes than ever to test their sexual boundaries. These passages are tantalizing and pulsating with dominance and possession!
