After reading SIN, the first novel in the Vegas Nights Series, I was really enthusiastic about Perrie’s story. I knew it would be a good one and I wasn’t wrong. The premise of LUST is really interesting and very appealing. A cop and a hooker, what a terrible combination… or not.
Perrie and Adrian have so much chemistry since their very first interaction, it’s unreal! The air is sizzling between them every single time they are together. The banters are absolutely delicious and Perrie has some feisty attitude to match Adrian’s smug personality. They’re just the perfect pair!
Working side by side every day, while she helps him as an informant to arrest other prostitutes, makes their already physical attraction reach an intolerable level. They like to “hate” each other, but mostly they’re both emotionally hurting from their painful past and trying to protect themselves. The way their relationship progresses slowly into something meaningful without them really noticing the change in their feelings is beautifully written.
I must admit that I loved, and I mean absolutely loved their kids and the way they helped create a deeper bond between them. Zac, Adrian’s son and Lola, Perrie’s daughter are just amazing children and every single second with them, I was grinning so big. They really bring a sweet side to this already amazing read. Their complotting and tactics to get their parents together is so cute.
An Emma Hart novel isn’t complete without a certain dose of hotness and roll in the sheets. The sexy scenes aren’t as abundant as I thought it would be, but the intensity, passion and emotions it produces is blissful, heart pounding and blushing worthy.
LUST might be my new favorite Emma Hart’s book! She’s at her best with this sweet yet spicy story with a side of humour. Every single instant of this novel was pleasing and left me on a very high impression!
