Emma Hart created another sexy compelling story taking place in the sinful city of Las Vegas. SIN has everything to grab your attention and keep you glued to your book. From the opening sentences of this novel, the tone is set with banters bursting with attraction, humour and dislike between Dahlia and Damien. These two love to hate each other from the beginning and it makes highly diverting moments.
Damien Fox, the owner of multiple strip clubs, wants to buy Dahlia’s club The Scarlet Letter. Despite multiple failed attempts, he’s very insistent and it brings even more tension into their already explosive relationship.
I was expecting sexiness, passion and laughs as Emma Hart always delivers to her readers, but it was even more than that. There’s also secrecy and intrigue. Damien is a complex man very locked up emotionally. He doesn’t open up a lot, but Dahlia’s presence in his life softens him day by day. I immensely enjoyed the flirty moments they share as much as the emotional material we get.
I felt the end of the book was a little bit rushed and it is mostly the reason why I didn’t rate it five stars. I would have preferred a longer development to wrap up all the revelations uncovered in the last few chapters. It doesn’t change the fact that it was a fantastic read for me.
SIN is a real treat and deeper than what you would expect at first and it makes it a must read! I was really glad to see little glimpses of Mia and Beck from Stripped Bare. Now, I’m really invested in the Vegas Nights series and very interested by Perrie’s story who’s the next book of the series.
