I’ve been a fan of The Alabama Summer Series since Ben & Mia and with each new book I fell in love with its characters even more. In What I Need, another Bama Boy accomplished to steal my heart. CJ with his southern charm, dirty mouth and funny personality is so dreamy. I adored his relationship with Riley. Poor girl, always a nervous wreck in his presence at first. It’s like her brain switches off and she doesn’t control her mouth anymore, making certain situations absolutely hilarious.
Their relationship starts as a hook up at Reed’s wedding and transforms into a meaningful friendship when Riley puts CJ in the friend zone. It’s clear CJ wants so much more, but he’ll make any sacrifice possible if it means keeping her in his life. Their relationship is so comfortable and lovely to witness. They just fit together so perfectly. Every scene between them made me smile, laugh or swoon with the authenticity of their connection.
J. Daniels once again shaped a story bursting with funny banters, a swoony alpha hero and a sassy heroine with deep chemistry and all the feels in between! The sexy scenes are also burning hot and filled with potent emotions.
Seeing all the Bama Boys and their girls interact together was as always a great enjoyment. This group of characters is so amazing and now I’m impatiently waiting for Jake to make his big entrance as a Bama Boy!
