With this fourth novel in the War & Peace series, K. Webster still takes it to another level where there’s nothing impossible and she achieved to shock me. Like its previous titles, This Isn’t You, Baby is as thrilling as it is crazy with pages depicting a whole lot of madness.
This story is a new level of epic! All the characters in this series are now all intertwined in an addictive storyline. All these weird relationships and links between them making it twisted and so good. There’s nothing impossible in K. Webster’s writing and I like it because I found myself astonished a few times during my read!
The book is mostly told from Brie and Ren POVs. Brie really struggles to find her true self in her new adoptive family where she’s overprotected. She forges a friendship with Ren, the lawn boy, that makes her feel alive and is slowly becoming something more. But all this sweetness in her life is challenged by an unexpected deal that catapults her in a ruthless world.
New players are suddenly added to this incredible list of characters that blend very well with the storyline. Some you hate, some you learn to love. Secrets, betrayal, new alliances, craziness resumes this book very well.
This is definitely one of the best novel in the War & Peace series. And that cliffhanger was just… I’m really speechless. This dark romance series is seriously one of my favorite ever and I really can’t wait for the next installment!
