Isn’t it funny how guys hit on you when they know you’re not available, but when you’re single they won’t give you the freaking time of day? I guess the game is more fun that way. And for the captain of my brother’s team, that’s exactly what I was. A hat trick is three goals in hockey. Some say three is a crowd and they might be right. I was Gavin Hayes' unobtainable goal.

Hat Trick was my first read by Kristen Hope Mazzola. I first decided to read this book because I’m a fan of hockey and the blurb intrigued me. While the story was interesting, it was a really short read and very fast pace that allowed few time for developments. It wasn’t what I was expecting. When I look at it for what it was, I still enjoy this sweet romance between Myla a solitary/scarred girl and her brother’s hockey team captain Gavin. Their meeting happens late in the book in my opinion, but it is beautiful seeing their insta-love story. The three different POV’s from Myla, Brayden and Gavin was a part a found interesting too. I read Hat Trick in one sitting! If you need to read a short and fast romance, it’s your book.
