After the way Junkie ended I was really anxious to start Jagger! I loved Junkie for its romance and the growing of the characters, but Jagger was definitely more on the action and suspense side! It was still very enjoyable and addictive!
I won’t reveal to much of the plot to prevent from spoiling the story, but in this book the relationship between Jagger and Miri is clearly deeper than ever. All the lengths they would go for each other is admirable.
Jagger battles with his two personas, Boss and Jag. When he needs to have his head in the right place and blank everything else, Boss takes precedence and he becomes cruel and ruthless. He can’t let his softer side be in complete control because if he can't fail in his mission or his feelings leave him completely broken. Miri experiments many challenges in this book and she still proves that she’s an incredibly strong woman. She has absolute faith in Jag and their ending together. We get to know more about Jagger's past and the reasons he became this kind of man. It was something I was really waiting for after reading Junkie.
It was a great ending to a very suspenseful series. I highly recommend it.
