I’m a fan of Bella Jewel’s books! Amore had a very interesting story line and was in general an enjoyable read. However the thing I had difficulty with this novel was that it lacked development. It was very fast paced and the scenes a little too short to grab my complete attention.
Julietta meets Rafael, the boss of the mafia one night while she goes partying at his club. With her antics, she attracts his attention and they give in to the temptation. After that brief stolen moment between them, Rafael decides to make her his mistress. At first she’s hesitant, but the pull between them is too strong to ignore. But with this new relationship comes secrets and troubles. She can't stay emotionally detached very long.
Although I generally liked this book, I would have liked longer description of the action and dialogues to help me connect better with the characters. It’s the main reason why the relationship between Rafael and Julietta was missing the passion I was expecting. There interactions were too rushed and superficial to really make me feel the chemistry.
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed all the suspense with the mafia side of the story. I just wanted to discover who was messing with Raf and his business and see where all it leads. By the end of the book, I felt that the story and the way it was written was getting better and better. I grew fonder of the heroes. The ending was so good with some unexpected twists. There was some secrets and revelations that completely took me by surprise.
Amore brings you through lies, deceit, secrets and forbidden love! Overall it is a good read that didn’t completely satisfy me, but with the cliffhanger ending I'm more than excited for the next installment!
