Nadia Jayne’s world is full of villains. Kasper thinks he hates her. Donovan thinks he loves her. Logan thinks he owns her. Sweet Jayne is a complicated girl… She needs Kasper. She hides from Donovan. She has a plan for Logan. But maybe complicated Jayne isn’t so sweet after all… In fact, she might just be the biggest villain of them all. WARNING: Story contains dark taboo themes and violence both sexual and physical which could trigger emotional distress in reader.

K. Webster is fast becoming one of my favorite author. She has a gift to tell stories that completely surprise me. Sweet Jayne is a real mindfuck and I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT! I had a million thoughts running through my head while reading this dark novel. The author did a brilliant job writing complex characters and the way she brings the story to life is perfect.

"I always hear you, baby. Always. Even when I don't know what the fuck you're saying and even when you don't actually say anything. I. Always. Hear. You."

Nadia Jayne saw her new friend Kasey being kidnapped in front of her when she was seventeen. Now ten years later she lives with her "fiance" who does unspeakable things to her. He's one of the three men obsessed with her. Donovan Jayne, her step-father is another one who seems to have more than friendly thoughts about Nadia. There's finally Kasper, her friend's brother, who's is driven by revenge for her inaction in the disappearing of Kasey.

The story gravitates around these four characters mostly and each of them I couldn't really figured them out completely. I was constantly changing my mind about liking them or not. There was continually a new twist I didn't see coming that just stop me in my reading, and made me say WTF! There's disturbing scenes that shows how twisted certain protagonists of this story are deranged! It's really not a read for fragile hearts!!

" I would like to be her friend just so I can fucking pet her like I am right now. I want to be her friend so she can burn me with her wholesome rays of sweetness. I'd love to be her friend so I can clutch onto her tiny ray of hope she's given me that I may one day have a life that isn't driven by revenge."

This book goes with shock revelations one after another and it's thrilling! When you think you have the secrets figured out, there's always a new discovery. It's a an incredible book that is surely one of my best read to date this year!
