Jade Jade’s young life was tough. After her mother died during childbirth and her father could no longer look after her, she was placed in foster care where she stayed for the next ten years. She grew up feeling unloved and unwanted as she was passed around from one screwed up home to the next. Things began to look up for her when she was adopted by a wealthy socialite at the age of eleven. Sometimes though, things aren’t always what they seem. Jade didn’t know it at the time, but her new adoptive mother had big plans for her, and spent the next seven years grooming Jade for that role. Jade learnt early in life that she couldn’t rely on anyone but herself. Instead of letting her circumstances beat her, she took all the negatives she’d been dealt, and used them to her advantage. She grew up to be a strong, successful, determined and independent woman. She was a loner by choice. The only thing lacking in her life was companionship and love. She’d never experienced it, so she didn’t know what she was missing, until she had a one-night-stand with a handsome stranger. One night, that would change everything.
Brock Brock grew up privileged. He had everything going for him. Money, looks, charm, success and an endless array of beautiful women. He wasn’t interested in commitment. To him women were easy. They practically threw themselves at his feet. All they wanted was to do something nobody had ever managed before. Snare the hot, rich bachelor. Then he met Jade. She was like a breath of fresh air. A challenge. Nothing like the women he was used too. Their one night together ignited something within him. A burning desire to own her, possess her, but Jade had other plans. Nobody says no to Brock Weston, nobody. He’s left wondering about a woman he knows he can never have. But, when fate brings them together again, will he get what he wants? Will he be able to claim the unattainable? Or will her secrets crush him, and destroy any chance they have of being together?

Hooker is an awesome book. It's a beautiful journey where the heroine is full of strength despite her hard life, and a hero discovering caring for someone for the first time in his life.
When she was eleven, Jade was adopted by Melody Sinclair, shortly called M. She sent her to the best schools and had her learn manners, but never showed love to her. Jade later found out it was in preparation for a sick purpose: become a high class hooker. Her fear of M, had her signed a seven-year contract binding her to be her top escort and puppet.

She's two years to the end of her contract, when she literally crashes into a sexy as sin man at the airport. Fireworks instantly sparks between them, and they meet by chance again in New York. Brock Weston is the CEO of his security company back in Sydney. From the moment he sees Jade after their collision, he's HOOKED. For a man who's always had sex only relationships, the feelings she evokes in him are unsettling.
They soon end up in bed together, incapable to let go of this chemistry they're both sharing. With her impossible life, Jade left without a word and fly back to Sydney. I couldn't help but feel bad for her. Forced to let go something this great, because she's in prison with M who's controlling her life.
""I want to see you again. Not just her in New York, but once back in Sydney as well." Tears stings my eyes at his words. If only. I wish that more than anything, but I know it's impossible."
After these few days spent with Brock, the best of her life, Jade has a new found strength. It's great to see her growing through the book, as she keeps on trying to have her independence from M.
Brock comes back in her life, while they attend the same party, and he learns the truth about her. He'll do anything for her. To see this kind of worship from him is swoon worthy. He doesn't treat Jade like a whore, but like a person with feelings and aspirations.

They both stay strong and fight for what they want. That's an incredible aspect of this book, I really admire the undeniable dedication Jade and Brock have for each other in spite of their odd match.
There is a couple plot twists that had me on the edge of my seat while reading. I was in awe of this couple from different worlds, but also felt hate for M and Brock's father. The secondary characters were well developed and add to the story. The dual POV was a great, I loved to be in Jade and Brock's heads. I had a really good time reading Hooker!
