Taylor Shaw had the perfect life—until she was sixteen. That was when everything changed. From that moment on, life went from bad to worse…to the worst. After recovering from a brain tumor, months later, she suffers the tragic loss of her whole family. Since that fateful day, she’s been coasting through life. Now, the brain tumor has returned, and Taylor decides she’s had enough. She’s going to take her fate into her own hands. No more hospitals. No more surgeries. No more anything. She’s going to join her family. It’s her decision. What she longs for. The ending she wants. She just has a list of things to do before she goes. First, go to England. Second, kiss a stranger… Only, Taylor didn’t expect Liam Hunter, the stranger—with his handsome face, his six-foot-three of gorgeousness, and his oh-so-hot English accent—to change things. To change her. To change the ending she wanted. What is a girl, who is standing on the edge of nothing, to do when offered the chance of everything?

When I first saw that Samantha Towle was releasing a new book, I knew I needed to read it. When I saw the blurb I was even more convinced. That was a fantastic read that didn't went as I thought, it was so much more than what I was expecting. In spite of the theme of death brought in the blurb, it's mostly a story about life and love with two amazing characters with a great dynamic.

"I just want to complete my list while on the trip I was supposed to take with my family before they died, and then... I don't know what's at the end of that sentence. Actually, yes, I do know. Death is what's at the end of that sentence. Death and relief. Relief because I'll get to be with my family again."

Taylor Shaw is leaving for a two-week trip to London and plans to cross things on her "Things I Want to do Before I Die" list. She's knows the brain tumor she had when she was sixteen has return, and she wants to live these moments before she dies and join her family again.

In the plane leading her to England, she meets a sexy man who's the perfect candidate for her first element of her list. Liam Hunter is real book boyfriend material with his confident attitude and sexy replies. The banter between them is funny and you can't not love Liam's cocky side. When Taylor surprise-kissed him, the chemistry is instantly undeniable between them. He convince her to follow him home when they land in London to help her cross a few items of her list.

What starts with a sexual encounter, soon transforms into a friendship with benefits as they pass their time together. I loved the sexy scenes between them that were off the charts HOT, but also the sweet moments where Liam acts like there's more to him than a billionaire playboy. Liam is really sweet and makes her alive by daring her to do what's on her list.

"I feel happy and free. I feel alive. the shock of those words reverberates around inside me. Like a ball spinning around a moving roulette wheel. I feel alive. For the first time in a long time, I feel alive. And it's because of him. I'm smiling and laughing and doing something that scares the crap out of me. I'm living because of Liam."

Even if these days are one of the best of her life, she still is convinced that she needs to die for the death of her family. Taylor begins to feel attached to Liam and feels guilty to keep this big secret from him. She lied to him a few times concerning these headaches and nausea episodes she has downgrading their gravity to him and it make her feel real bad. But how can she darkens their last moments together before she goes back home, when here decision to die has been made a long time ago?

Taylor needs to decide what's really the most important now that she met Liam. Be with a man who makes her feel things she never thought possible for her or following her plan to make amends with her family?

"Liam doesn't deserve too be lied to anymore. And he doesn't deserve to be hurt - far from it. He deserves everything good that life has to offer. but how can I tell him that I'm dying? That I want to die. I can't. Because I'm afraid."

The book was written mostly in Taylor's POV, but the last chapters were all in Liam's and I really appreciated to see the story from his side too. Another point I enjoyed is that Samantha Towle incorporated in the storyline a couple of her most popular characters (Rock star Jake Wethers and Formula One racer Carrick Ryan) from her other books that I also loved. If you love sexy dirty talker with a side of sweet heroes and shy, sarcastic and broken heroines you'll love this book! One of my best read of the year!
