NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR I could have put the typical blurb here. Boy meets girl. They fall in love. Live happily ever after. The end. But this isn’t THAT story.

Bring Me Back was a pleasant surprise for me. I've enjoyed previous books I've read by Micalea Smeltzer and when I saw this gorgeous cover and simple blurb, I was intrigued. I dived into this story blind and did not regret my decision.

"No amount of time will be enough with you. Not a minute. not an hour. Not a decade. Not a century. But I promise to make all our time count. I may not tell you I love you every minute of every day, but I try to show you - because true love has to be felt not heard. and our love, B? It's my favorite feeling. Here's to tomorrow, and the next day, and the one after that - and all the love that's shared in between."

Blaire is living the perfect life with her soon to be husband Ben. They've been together for years and in a few weeks they're finally going to get married. Ben is a caring partner, hiding her paper cranes with tender, thoughtful or funny messages written on them everywhere in there house.

Their fairy tale is broken by an heartbreaking event and Blaire is left in pieces. She has a rough time and fight hard to see the light again. In a support group she meet Ryder a single dad and he try to show her that she's strong. He's a very sweet man and he slowly helps her emerge from the darkness she lives in.

"His smile is so large and bright it rivals the sun. In fact, I think he might be the sun. My own personal sun, that is. He came into my life when I was in the darkest of places and immediately filled it with light. He hasn't healed me, but he's given me the strength to do it on my own."

Bring Me Back was a story of grieving, healing and loving. I got to feel every emotions Blaire is feeling and it brought tears to my eyes at moments. It was beautifully written. I loved the slow built of the story, it was very appropriate to the subject of the book. Definitely a book to read!
