Release Blitz + Review | Mr. Write by Monica James --> 3.5 Stars
TITLE: Mr. Write AUTHOR: Monica James GENRE: Romantic Comedy
RELEASE DATE: February 14th, 2019
Once upon a time, there lived a best-selling author who wrote about the miracle of true love and finding your forever soul mate. And that was thanks to Elizabeth. His muse…his one and only…his soon to be ex-wife. It’s been six months since the love of his life tore out his heart and set it on fire, and because of this, the “author” hasn’t written a single word—his mind is drier than the Sahara Desert. That unfortunate fool? That’s me. My name is Jayden Evans or, as my readers know me, J.E. Sparrow. I’m one of the world’s most adored authors, but now, the only thing beloved is a bottle of whiskey and the unspeakable nasties I somehow find myself in. But this life of depravity is growing old fast. I need a change. And that comes when I meet Carrie Bell—the woman who stirs something in me I thought long dead. From the moment we met, I knew she was different. Could she be the one to end this drought? I suppose there is only one way to find out. Paris. Two strangers in the city of love. What can go wrong?

⭐️ 3.5 "Dove" Stars ⭐️
Mr. Write is a lovely and funny story! Monica James wrote this story only from the hero’s perspective and I found it so refreshing.
Jayden is a very popular author, but since he caught his wife cheating, he has writer’s block. When he meets Carrie, inspiration is back and he’d do anything to keep the words flowing. I couldn’t help but laugh at Jayden’s internal thoughts that were hilarious. It's what made this book the most entertaining for me!
While I enjoyed this story, there was a missing spark between Jayden and Carrie in my opinion. I couldn’t feel their supposed connection as much as I wanted. Another thing that bothered me a little is the pace of the story. The book is rather long and almost the first half of the book is on a short span of 24 hours, where Jayden is mostly a little of a womanizer. The rest of the book is cute, but too rushed toward the end with the drama happening. So these few things put together made a difference in my global appreciation of this story.
Overall, Mr. Write is an adorable romantic comedy with emotional moments scattered here and there. Monica presented something a little different that just didn't completely work with me, but some people will assuredly find this novel very appealing.
