GENRE: Contemporary Romance
RELEASE DATE: September 21st, 2018
When I first applied for the job I thought it would be like all the others: working as a nanny for an aristocratic family. Then I got the job and found out how wrong I was. Now I’m the new nanny for two adorable little girls who happen to be princesses. Their father is the widowed King of Denmark. And my new home? The royal palace in Copenhagen. Adjusting to my new life isn't easy but the hardest part hasn’t been the girls who still grieve over the loss of their mother. It’s their father. Cold, mysterious and moody, with an icy stare that seems to penetrate your soul, King Aksel may have hired me to take care of his daughters but he wants as little to do with me as possible. Yet the longer I share these palace walls with this man, the more that I’m drawn to him. His chiseled face and sexual swagger are only part of the package. It’s in the long, intense glances at the dinner table, the way we’ll brush up against each other in the halls, the rare glimpses of the man deep inside, like the sun passing through clouds. But no matter how I feel about him, we can never be together. You think it's bad enough being in love with your boss? Try falling in love with a king.
⭐️ 5 "Dirty Dane" Stars ⭐️
Can you believe A Nordic King was the first royal romance I ever read? I’ve always wanted to try this trope and I must say the fact it was also about a single dad was so appealing to me! Karina Halle created a stunning story with all the swoon factors, that I couldn’t help but fall in love with this charming novel!
"I'm a king with a palace full of treasures and yet she is my greatest possession."
King Aksel! What an interesting hero! He’s such a stoic man, drowning in guilt over his wife’s death. Aurora, the new nanny, enters his life and everything changes. She’s so tempting and brings emotions he can’t repress. He acts all imposing and harsh with her to protect himself, but the pull between them is so palpable. Aurora has the kind of attitude I love in a heroine. She’s all sassy, bold and ambitious! She certainly doesn’t bow to “King Asshole” and it creates so much sparks and anticipation!
The slow burn of this romance is at the perfect pace. I enjoyed Aksel and Aurora gradually developing a lovely relationship! Aurora’s connection with the little princesses, Clara and Freja is so adorable too. Those two are so cute and mischievous, they repeatedly brought smiles to my face. Snarf Snarf, the pet pig, is also a refreshing and adorable addition to the royal family. His presence in the palace surely offers some amusing scenes!
This forbidden couple is scorching hot! Their sexy times will certainly make you blush and fan yourself from the intensity of their passion! The King’s dirty talking talent is spot-on! Seriously Aurora and King Aksel’s chemistry is so powerful! While they have a tangible attraction, they also are able to open their hearts to each other and bare their deepest secrets. I loved their beautiful romance, once their true feelings are exposed!
"I've waited forty years for my heart to have a home."
In A Nordic King, Karina Halle undoubtedly delivers all the elements for a mesmerizing story! It’s beautiful, sweet, emotional, passionate and irresistible!!!
