Since the start of the Redemption Series, I’ve been hooked on those mafia romances Molly McAdams writes so well. Lyric is about the tumultuous, poignant love story of Elizabeth Borello and rockstar Maxon James.
“Her rebel heart had always belonged to me.”
Libby and Maxon have been in love with each other their whole life. The daughter of a mafia boss and the boy from the foster care system. Everything should have kept them apart, but one thing has always been true, their love.
“Every lyric I write, I write for you.”
In Lyric it’s their second chance at love. After years going back and forth in an on and off relationship, Maxon is truly determined to finally get the girl of his dreams forever, but a lot of obstacles still stand in their way.
During this story, we discover lots of secrets about old alliances and treats on their lives. I enjoyed the suspense behind the whole storyline. With every new information unveiled about the danger facing them and the reasons why. Let’s just say that the last few chapters were just explosive in revelations that had me completely astounded. That’s my favorite aspect of these books!
I really enjoy Libby and Maxon’s beautiful, yet heart-breaking romance. It’s clear they love deeply, but all these treats make Libby really hurt and thinking only about protecting her man. She needs to make difficult choices that clearly breaks her heart as well as his! When they’re together, the depth of their feelings is apparent and you feel their need and hope to finally make it work for them. The sexiness they can bring is also very hot, but filled with emotions too.

It’s always agreeable to see the past characters of previous novels taking a place in the story. I once again enjoy seeing Dare and Lily and the whole Borello gang, but also glimpses of the Holloways too. I love those characters very much, and now I’m more than intrigued about Einstein’s story with Maverick.

Molly McAdams crafted another amazing story based on secrets and thrilling until the very last page. A beautiful love story filled with heartache, passion and devotion. Lyric will surely have you hooked!!
