I loved his cockiness and funny attitude in Cuffed, but I wasn’t expecting all the struggles he lives with and we discover in Combust. In this read bursting with feels, we experience his fears, regrets, and battles with a new eye.

Dylan is really self-conscious about her body and I loved how Grady shows her how sexy she is to him. They both slowly try to heal each other while still trying to maintain the growing feelings between them hidden. Their intensity in every single scene they share is so potent. The passion is explosive and beautiful, tainted with emotions too.

This book wouldn’t be as good as it is without a strong group of secondary characters. Grant and Grayson, as Grady’s big brothers, like to rile him but also support him with their love. Some scenes with Grady’s parents also brings the feelings to a new level. The brotherhood at the fire station brings all the laughs and goofy moments.
