I wanted to read Helena Hunting’s books for a while now and finally decided to start listening to the audiobook of Pucked. I loved it so much! It’s hilarious, light, swoony and kept me entirely entertained.

I found myself laughing so much during this book. It’s not possible how comic Violet Hall is with her very expressive personality and completely absurd, but amusing expressions. And what can I say about the sexy Alex Waters, the captain of the Blackhawks. He’s a sweetheart to the core. From the start I enjoyed his dreamy qualities. He’s more than the cliché jock Violet thinks he is at first.
Throughout the story I enjoy seeing them interact. They went from funny and flirty to sexy and passionate. Even if this novel is on the lighter side due to the numerous laughs you get while reading, there’s also some more serious matters in it too. The slow build of Violet and Alex’s feelings is beautiful and brings questioning for them both for their future. The sexual chemistry is so intense and brings highly charged scenes.

For the audiobook more specifically, I loved the narrator doing Violet’s voice. She absolutely caught her vivid personality. For Alex I needed a few chapters to fully connect with the voice versus the character, but the narrator still did a great job with his expressive play.
I’m more than delighted with Pucked and can’t wait to start another tome of this fantastic series.
