When life brings you the perfect person at the worst possible time…
On a weekend visit to Las Vegas to visit his brother, Marine Braeden Daniels meets a woman who challenges him in ways he can’t deny. The best part is she wants what he wants.
No strings. No feelings. Just fun.
AJ is a Las Vegas performer who is finally living her dream. Growing up poor, she’s determined to succeed at any cost. No one will stand in her way—not even a hot Marine who breezes into her life all confidence and a cocky smile.
A few stolen weekends and neither can deny the feelings quickly growing between them. But the obstacles that keep them apart become more devastating when the Marine Corps calls Braeden away for a six-month deployment.
It’s only six months.
What could possibly happen?

The Fighting Series is an amazing one. I’ve loved every single one of these books and couldn’t wait for this last one. The Final Fight was everything I wanted. While it doesn’t revolve around the UFL world as much as the other books, we still get glimpses of some of our favorite fighters. The hero might not be an MMA fighter, but both main characters are definitely fierce fighters in this compellingly heartbreaking and hopeful story.
“He’s made an irreversible mark on me as real as the heart that beats in my chest.”
Right from the first interaction, you feel an undeniable connection between Breaden the sexy, cocky Marine and AJ the ambitious acrobat. Even if they start their story with an explosive physical reaction that’s really scorching, it soon turns into something more. They might both deny these growing feelings, but it’s clear that these two are forging a special connection.
“You’ll be back. You’ll be fighting for this shit too, but until you’re there, until you get your fight back, I’m fighting for you.”
I felt feverish from the intensity of their relationship. They’re really funny and flirty together and it’s a part of their personality I admired. When Brea is deployed for six months in Irak, everything kind of crumble in their lives. They separate with heavy hearts, but without promise toward each other.
“If she saw me now, would she still want me?”
Upcoming events will forge a new kind of tenacity for Brea as well as AJ and make them question what’s more important. It’s not without dark hours that they’ll find their way back to each other. I cried so much in the second half of the story. The struggles they both face is so poignant and touched me deeply.
“I touched her. Breathed her in. Felt her pulse like hummingbird wings against my lips. She was real. Right there and real as fuck.”
Once again, J.B. Salsbury proved her immense talent with an emotional story that left me breathless. The Final Fight is the best example of fighting adversity and showing strength even when you want to give up. You don't want to miss this emotional conclusion to the Fighting Series.
