K. Webster and J.D. Hollyfield know how to create interesting characters that makes you laugh and swoon. The 2 Lovers series is very entertaining and with Thieves 2 Lovers they wrote another solid story on all levels.
Reagan and Linc’s friendship is so fascinating. Those two can’t be more different from each other, but it just clicks so perfectly between them. While they’re nothing more than friends at first, the longing they have for each other is so apparent. Months of hiding their bonding relationship from their friends and family only brings them closer and they slowly start blurring the lines into something more.
Linc has always been the bad boy, but for the first time in his life, being with Rey makes him want to be worthy of her and change his ways. He’s definitely cocky and likes to provoke others, but he’s also amusing and kind-hearted. I enjoyed seeing his transformation through the pages of the story. Reagan is also a lovable heroine. She’s trying to please others with her life choices, but to finally seeing her take the reins of her own life is nice.
The deep connection they have can be felt through the funny repartees and the easy moments where it seems they’re the only one to understand each other. I was waiting for a funny read, but I was really surprised by the tender and heartbreaking moments that kept me rooted in my seat demanding more.
Thieves 2 Lovers is definitely my favorite of the series. Every instant is effortless and unhurried. Between laughs, tears, smiles and heart pounding moments, I found myself falling in love with Rey and Linc’s journey. This duo of authors hit the mark with another exciting story I enjoyed immensely. It’s a superb ending to an amazing series with a great group of characters.
