Book 1 - Four Letter Word
As it’s always the case with J. Daniels’s books, Hit the Spot was filled with funny, swoony and poignant moments. I completely fell under the charm of Tori and Jamie’s romance. To say that their first meeting was a fail would be an understatement. Let’s be real here: Jamie was a complete arrogant jerk and Tori wasn’t impressed in the least by his macho speech. But the banters between them was hilarious and set the tone for the rest of the novel.
“Motherfucker. I’d been claimed. Tori Rivera owned my shit.
And I was more than okay with that.”
For the first part of the story, Tori keeps fighting her physical attraction to Jamie while she still considers him a loser. But they soon find themselves in a bet they don’t want to either lose and the sexual pull raises and desire ignites between them. We all know how Jamie is a cocky manwhore, but this story shows another unexpected side of his personality that I swoon over. He hides his game well because he’s so thoughtful behind his witty personality. His confident attitude hides also a caring guy that just wants Tori to really see him and feel this undisputable connection. Tori’s shell is hard to crack due to her last relationship that left her broken, but Jamie’s ready to fight for her. They’re explosive when they let their bodies speak for them.
“She held me close, limbs circling back as our chest matched with racing breaths.
Her fingers in my hair. Her lips moving over my ear.
“This feels like forever,” she whispered.”
J. Daniels truly hit the mark with this second installment of the Dirty Deeds series. The sexiness and the amusing antics this couple put themselves in provided an solid entertainment and I adored it! I want more of the Dogwood Beach gang!
