From her very first book, Claire Contreras has been an author I loved reading. So when I learned about her new project starring a sexy soccer player, I was really excited. When I saw the cover, oh my god! I died! This being said, this book was different from what she usually writes. While it wasn’t my favorite of hers, I still enjoyed it.

Warren was a great character that she managed to brought to life with all his confidence and sexy ways. Everything coming from him was golden. I felt the first part of the story was dragging a little, alternating between scenes I was hooked on and others I didn’t connect with. But when I was at mid-read I was really into it. Camila is a strong lead, but with everything that is Warren and his fandom, and living in a different country, seemed to make her doubt their flourishing romance. Together they were so great! Their interactions were funny yet sweet. There isn’t a lot of things Warren’s wouldn’t do for his pretty girl. He seems to be a player, but he’s so much more. I enjoyed it, but can’t help but feel a little disappointed. With all the hype about this book, I was waiting for a little more.
