Viewing Room Cover

TITLE: Paper Princess

SERIES: The Royals #1 AUTHOR: Erin Watt GENRE: YA Romance RELEASE DATE: April 4th, 2016

From strip clubs and truck stops to southern coast mansions and prep schools, one girl tries to stay true to herself. These Royals will ruin you… Ella Harper is a survivor—a pragmatic optimist. She’s spent her whole life moving from town to town with her flighty mother, struggling to make ends meet and believing that someday she’ll climb out of the gutter. After her mother’s death, Ella is truly alone. Until Callum Royal appears, plucking Ella out of poverty and tossing her into his posh mansion among his five sons who all hate her. Each Royal boy is more magnetic than the last, but none as captivating as Reed Royal, the boy who is determined to send her back to the slums she came from. Reed doesn’t want her. He says she doesn’t belong with the Royals. He might be right. Wealth. Excess. Deception. It’s like nothing Ella has ever experienced, and if she’s going to survive her time in the Royal palace, she’ll need to learn to issue her own Royal decrees.

O.M.G.! This book was so good. Knowing it had a cliffhanger ending and more books to come I waited to read it. But a couple days ago I decided to finally start it because book three is releasing soon. I rarely venture into the YA world anymore, but this one was so good and so worth it.

A few months after her mother’s death, Ella is found by a man declaring himself her late and estranged father’s best friend and new guardian. She’s brought to Callum Royal’s mansion where his five sons are very hard on her. The Royal brothers are the rulers of Astor Park Prep School and they make Ella’s life difficult from day one. Yes, in this story we have the cliché bitch queen bee, the jerk popular guy, party and drugs… but the way it’s brought to the reader with all the games and secrets happening makes it an addictive read.

I loved the characters so much! Ella has done many rough things just to survive in this world while she was helping her dying mom. Her strength has no limits, even when she’s near break down from the way the Royal boys treat her like nothing. Despite their cruel welcoming, I loved every one of them. The twins and their games, Easton with his sexcapades and Reed with his leader role. Behind their destructive behavior, deep scars and secrets of their past are buried. The interactions between the brothers and Ella are so entertaining. All the sass and confidence she’s able to expose, even if inside she’s just afraid and alone. Ella slowly gains the brothers’ trust with her unique and refreshing attitude, but it’s only the beginning of their story.

With the manipulation, attraction, temptation, secret and lies you’re in for an incomparable time with the Royals! They’ll make you hate them, but ultimately you’ll love them!
