Heidi McLaughlin and L.P. Dover did once again an amazing job writing the second standalone book of their Society X series. After visiting the sensual dark room in book one, we’re now brought into the voyeurism of the viewing room.
Kennedy Vaughn a recently divorced attorney, is transported in the world of Society X the elite sex club, when her friends drag her there to celebrate. With a little scheme from them, she soon finds herself receiving a lap dance in the viewing room by the sexy and younger Hunter. Their chemistry is unmistakable and Hunter pursuits her thereafter to spent time with him. Being older than him and with his job as a stripper, Kennedy has some issues with starting a real relationship with Hunter. But he’s really so much more than meets the eye. Under his carefree appearance, he’s a serious guy striving for a real career. He just wants to have the chance to know Kennedy better, but she doesn’t make it easy for him at first.

You see their relationship slowly develop, with different events happening making the story interesting. They’re a steamy couple with a great dose of attraction. The drama happening in the book gives an intriguing twist to the story and it completely took me by surprise. When the story was slowly building toward a sweet and sexy romance, outside situations brought a lot of tension in Kennedy and Hunter’s lives to make this read even better than it already was. From that moment, it was an unravelling of shocking discoveries and suspense.
