Imagine this: Your husband is murdered on your wedding day. Your gown is soiled in his blood. You are taken hostage… Treated like a caged animal. The man behind your husband’s murder is revealed. His name is Draco Molina. Draco has power. Respect. Wealth. He is a savage beast of a man - dominant in every way. Soon after, he makes you an offer that you can’t refuse. All you have do is submit to him, and in return you won’t be punished. He will reward you handsomely. But if you disobey, you must be prepared to face the consequences. What do you do when the most wanted man in the world . . . wants you?
I’m speechless! This dark romance was hands down one of the best I’ve ever read. I adored every book by Shanora Williams I've read and this one is definitely at the top my list now! Just wow!!
Passion & Venom brings you into a world of violence and ruthless control when Gianna’s husband is savagely killed on their wedding day. She’s kept hostage by the killers and soon finds herself at the mercy of the Jefe, Draco Molina. He’s a man who instills fear and submission and you don’t want to cross him on your road!
I love how the characters of this novel were so well written. Draco, doesn’t bend for anyone. He acts like a real bastard dominating his new guest with unbelievable tactics, but there’s a physical attraction between them that even hate can’t erase. He has a heart of stone, but Gianna manages to make him show his protective side with her. Gia loathes him for being behind the killing of her husband, but her body his betraying her when he’s in her vicinity, with his seductive appearance and dominant presence.
I feel there’s still so many secrets to uncover about this story and can’t help to read the next books. It’s a really addictive read. I’ve read multiple dark romance, but this one left me with a sense of uniqueness, by the originality of Draco’s methods with his captives. He’s so violent that everyone fears him, but here and there you can catch a glimpse of a broken man behind his hard exterior. Such a complicated and cruel man, but a fascinating character to read. It’s not everyone who can keep their cool in his presence, but Gia doesn’t shy away from Draco and it assuredly expose her strength. With the burden she’s faced with her grieving, she never let go of her hope to escape this mess. I can’t wait to dissect Draco Molina’s background and the event leading him to being this callous man in the next books. And I also want more of the new transformed Gia!
I sense that the complete series will be EPIC! With this first book in the Venom Trilogy, S. Williams assuredly wrote her best work to date in my opinion. It’s a must-read masterpiece brimming with unexpected twists and enthralling characters! Between heartbreak, fear, despair and temptation you won’t be left indifferent by this dark romance.
